The missionaries of Hardenberg as well as of Marialinden took care of the few Christians in those distant valleys and hills. In order to give the Catholic Church a firm foothold, a school site was acquired on the 1^st of March 1926. Fr Grimm built a chapel and furnished it with it with a picture of St. Andrew painted by Brother Ludger. After Easter 1931 the school was put up on solid basis. On Ascension Day of that year the school was officially opened in the presence of the local chief Jonathan Moshoeshoe. He agreed to transfer the chapel higher up on the hill, while the former place was given to the catechist for ploughing. With help Fr Grimm built a new and larger school in July 1931.

Though St. Andrews Parish is very small in number, it has produced a Priest. Fr. Motlatsi Phomane who was ordained in 2012 and Fr. Letsie Moshoeshoe. Also Sr. Dimakatso Pauline Makhoro who belongs to the CPS congregations originates from the Parish.
