The Church Site was obtained in 1934 by Perfect Hashnich and small, but a neat church was built, opened, and blessed during 1935. A school was started as we, and in 1937 a hall was built. In the meantime the little church at Ngangelizwe could no longer hold the increasing community of about 1500 Catholics; it was decided to enlarge the church on three sides. The firm J.D. Dennis completed the alterations by early 1974, and the new and large Church was opened and blessed by Bishop Karlen on 31 May 1974. Following the increasing community of Catholics there was a need for Outstations, this gave rise to Mabheleni (Holy Rosary) in 1961, Tyumbu (St. Pius) in 1972, Orange (St. Thomas), and Stwayi (St. Theresa). A second creche was built in the middle of the township in 1978, and a third in lower section in 1980. Buildings that were erected after 1982 are: Parish Offices,toilets, Dormitories, Grotto, Wall and Gate, the Presbytery and part of the hall were renovated.
